Hey all - thought I would stick up a link to a new character iv created - sort of a symbiotic machine/robot/living organisim with green hydrolic and nourishment liquid flowing through tubes around his body... I call him the prophet.

"i dont really like the cat. i dont know what i dont like about it, just don't."

"^ it's cause the yellow stands out in an awkward way in that painting.."

Shame you don't like the the robot critter (cat) - I always appreciate criticism whether good or bad, the more criticism the better :-D if you could elaborate on what you don't like or what you would change that would be great. My aim with the really bright yellow was to make the 'cat' really contrast again the purple background. I'v been working with the colour wheel and complimentary colours, do you think the yellow is too bright?

To all the others that like that and my other work - thank you :-) There will be more to come.

well, ive thought about it a bit.

maybe too much spikey-fuzzy on the top of the head.

no cat ears to be seen (doesnt really look like it at least)

dont really like the nubby arms

rest of cat (might) look better with a hint of robot integration into torso

lower-robo body looks like it has a wang with robo-ghonorhea.

im no expert by any means, not sure if any of my suggestions would look any better at all.

    just some thoughts/ideas. dunno...

i do really like the background though!

dstier - thankyou for your feedback.

The look I was going for is a bit of an ugly but not too vicious looking ground dwelling animal, that lives in burrows and unused drainage systems (more the latter as it doesn't have a very good digging ability) - The animal itself is actually a sort of machine hybrid created using some genetic material taken from the planets extinct lifeforms then manipulated and grown over a machine core, kinda like an animatronic puppet just with living tissue instead. Based loosely on a cat but trying to not fall too closely to any earth like creatures - the lower part exposed showing the metallic substructure and hopping legs. The small forearms that you can see are actually more like furry venomous barbs used for catching prey/self defence. Haha and yeah kinda does look like ghonorhea but is actually the creatures waste disposal system..

Lol perhaps iv thought about this little critter a bit too much whilst drawing it.. hope this makes more sense now when you look at the piece (oh and the background is the left over mining machinery from what was once an ore rich planet, since left barren an ominous as all life was wiped out through pollution and industry)

Thankyou for your feedback - it is appreciated :-D

My ones got all moved around and stuff - don't know where some of them went. So I thought it be best to start a new one that I can continue - plus its got a better title and ill only need to bump it as and when I finish new pieces of work :-) What do you think of the new pics btw?

Merged yet again. All you had to do was scroll down the marketplace it was sitting right on the front page.

I know you have been around as an artist for a while now and I have no idea if you actually use GameSalad. But either way, please respect the forum and try not to turn it into your spamming grounds. You offer Art Services. You only need one thread for all of that.

    Thanks

That's exactly what I have been trying to do, is have one thread with a suitable title that I can simply log in and update as and when new pics are added etc I hardly get the time to log in. What I have found difficult though, with the forum is not having the ability to edit a thread once It has been posted - the last thing I want to do is fill the forum with new threads - it would be cool to have the ability to delete threads/edit the title once they have been put up that way I could delete the old ones and just have one, my brother uses gamesalad to code games etc and I do the artwork side of things - I only started a new thread because I thought mine hadn't posted (using iPhone) i did send an email to request having my old threads deleted and to change the title on this one - glad it's been done & thankyou :-) but if things do get moved/combined can you send over an email to let me know, that way this won't happen again and I'll make sure I don't create any new threads ;-)
