Well there are two levels of praise by apple the silver ticket and the gold ticket. If you take a look at my game on app annie you can see it was featured in a few stores under the silver ticket.

If this game was a gold ticket there would be a bigger smile on my face.

How is that a silver ticket? Every new app is featured under the "New" list...

Yeah I think thats just app annie's way of showing which features matter and which listings that don't.

The Unofficial GameSalad Textbook was featured many times as a "What's Hot" book.

BOT was featured as What's New in Roleplaying Games.

I also had some New and Noteworthy Apps... like Commove and Critique.

Getting featured by Apple is great marketing for iTunes Apps. Yet, to get there, a lot of other work has to be done first... like building a great game and doing some of your own marketing. Plus, people have to download and highly rate your app — that helps get Apple's attention.

I thought it was a silver ticket there are other categories other than new.

I could be wrong. Every app I've ever submitted has received those features as well so I just assumed it wasn't a big deal.

Mammoth as I said before that is how AppAnnie shows your important features. Main page and Main Category N&N and Whats Hot. All the subcategory listings and new release stuff is listed in the Silver. You should not expect anything from those listings. very few ppl actually browse them and they can only be viewer from iTunes. not the device. If you have something listed in the gold section that is a good thing. Not everyone gets that. You should get a boost from that listing.

As I said before that is not an Apple thing. Its AppAnnies way of categorizing.
