how do you know on which layer you are dragging actors?

i create a new layer for buttons that i need them to stay all the time on the screen, but when adding some new actors i click to send them back to be behind some actors but i dont work, then i notices iam dragging the actors on my new layer with out knowing, so then i have to delete the actors and do it again.

You just have to put you actor in the correct layer...
Go into your scene/layers and you can drag all your actors where you want...
