Adding pieces to make longer background

This is an easy question for most, and I'm having trouble with it as I thought it would be simple :(

I have some background pieces that are 512X320, and I'm trying to place 3 or 4 of them next to each other to create one long scene.

Well I've been successful at getting 2 together, but how can I move the screen so that I can put a couple more next to each other

I noticed there's a scroll bar at the bottom of the GS software, but it won't scroll far enough for me to place another frame next to the 2nd

Any tips would be great!

Is your scene width wide enough to add that 3rd and 4th image? i.e. at least 2048.

Also, why not make your background 512x512 if you can - it'll help with performance I'm sure as it'd be power of 2 enabled ;)

I was going to do 512X512, but then the way the game was going to be designed, you could only see as far as 320 height

    Butterbean,

For performance purposes, you could get you know who to create your background images 512x512 but only have the bottom 320px have the actual background image on it. The rest of the top of the image could just be transparent so that you can still use the power of 2 rule while still maintaining a different size ratio.

    Just a thought.

    Good point :)

I think I can do that, it's an easy fix, thanks!
