What am I missing here (Save Attribute problem)

I have been at it for about an hour or so now.. easiest way to figure out my problem is to ask how to do it. Imagine you have a game that is timer based and the quicker you finish the more stars you get...(this part works great). My problem comes when I want to save the attribute on the level select screen when you start the game over. I understand the concept of loading and saving attributes but what am I missing. I have the stars set up as Booleans so if it's true the star is showing if false it isn't. Now when I save the attribute it should save the true part so that when my game is loading it should turn true on and thus load my attributes... This doesn't happen.. Can anyone think of a step I am missing? Any help would be great.
