There are exactly 7 days left in this moth. GS is due for their September updates including:
In-App Purchase
Game Center Achievements
Joints
Chrome Store Publishing
Lion Updates

I'm starting to get a little scared thinking that they might not be releasing this update this month anybody else worried? I really hope that they release push-notifications with this too. That's all I need.. In-App Purchase and/or Push Notifications and I'll upgrade to pro.

    Tbh I felt the same. It's all very well saying they want to improve communication, but I don't really feel that it's a 2 way thing on their side.

    I've spent last few weeks writing a game in corona as I don't feel confidence in gs in fixing the huge issues with their system like performance and stability. The benefit of rapid development is lost when the creator is as buggy as it is so o may as well have a look at alternatives. I'd love to be proven wrong, butbim not prepared to put all my eggs in one basket on the hope thatbthey fix things instead of just adding new features.

    If its that big a deal, why dont you save time not posting on the forum and emailing them instead

    Which is what I did and how I came to the conclusion about the communication being one sided, so mind don't bump your rear on your way down from that high horse youre on.

    Sooo .... Theres still 7 days yet, they're still on time and you're already complaining. Even if it doesn't make it, then it shouldn't be delayed by much, it will be here when its ready ... Or would you like it rushed and full of bugs?

    But opening threads like this is whats going to prevent them from telling you stuff in the future.

    GameSalad has NEVER hit a deadline since i have been here.

    Sure they can post and say there is a delay but they may not know that for sure yet.

    But if your saying you can't make a killer game right now with what you have then maybe this is not the right industry for you.

    More of an Ivory Tower kind of man to be honest.

    Wasnt trying to come off as arrogant, its just this sort of GS bashing is becoming more and more common place.

    I completely agree with you but Gamesalad has recently lost a lot of what makes it so special. By forcing the user to come up with creative ways on how to solve memory leaks on their own it's no longer a user friendly program. In my most recent project I've had to do more coding then if I used Corona and the only thing I have to look forward to is the Gs splash screen and loading wheel... I honestly don't care if the september update never comes. When I look at the road map all I see is a bunch of ways for the people here who're just in it for the money to make a few extra bucks. Only 1/3 of the proposed added features will actually help users improve the quality of their apps. If the gamesalad team keeps encouraging this kind of behaviour in it's users then it's just going to end up backfiring on them.

    I feel the same like you, I can't wait for the update

    But first of all it is not the end of sep yet and second of all if gamesalad updates in oct 5 or something(right after tc or sj publish iphone5( hopefully)) and without any bugs, I think most people(including me) will be happy

    GS should have a minimum age requirement in addition to getting rid of the free model :)

    FACT CHECK... GameSalad did well with the iPad launch. Their timing was amazing back then.

    I think that's what bothers me. GameSalad used to be more nimble. They had quick support for retina display and iPad, so why is it so hard for GameSalad to support other Apple standards? It's GAMESALAD so they should have full Game Center support.

    I also cannot wait for IAP. I really hope they have it in their next release.

    Having said that, I know how much time and QA it takes to make something like game salad. But I have so many ideas for IAP that I am just dying to try out.

    Ok, this is ridiculous, do you know how hard the people at GS work to bring us this software?? It's not easy at all, and they work their @sses off every single day so we can all make wonderful games. And all you're doing is complaining!? Really, think about it for a minute, so the update doesn't come on time, that's ok, you're not gonna die, you can still make games. If you want the update so bad, go take a job with GS and you make the next update, just stop complaining!!!

    So Im confused are you leaving GameSalad if you do not have an update by the 30th or is this just attention seeking. Its seems odd to me the title is "THATS IT!!! I CANT WAIT ANYMORE!!!" but then you end with Im upgrading as soon as there are a couple features. One of which I would not expect any Gs resources going to until they have run out of ideas to make GameSalad better. So im just curious looking to know the your actual intentions is all. :)

    I think the same but for adults :P You'd be suprised, most of the crap that comes out of the GameSalad publishing server is not from kids. Just because we can get extra publicity because we're young, doesn't mean you have to hate us ;)

    In fact, most of us kids are actually better GS devs then the adults here.
    You say we don't know the math part... but I'm taking trig right now, so that come back won't work :)
    Most people dislike GS already, why force most of there users to leave? Oh ya... Thats stupid.

    It is a little insane that people are already whining about the September roadmap when its still September...

    I like the idea of abolishing the free model, but there is a catch. It seems that the people who complain the most are the free users. If they paid up (say, a $99 lite version or whatever), imagine what kind of whining you would hear, as they would then have a personal stake in the company.

    There really shouldn't be any posts bitching about GS missing the September deadline at least until September is actually over.

    Wrong. If we had age requirements for half of the things we have today, kids wouldn't be as innovative and creative as they are. The kids of today, are the future. Why limit them? I'm not just saying this because I am 15. But getting my feet wet now will better prepare me for the future.

    Right. It should go back to pay to publish. Half of the crap coming from Gamesalad is from free accounts. More than half actually. but the other part, kids with money buy pro because they think GC will make their !@#$% games better. It SHOULD go back to pay to publish, and I also think their should be some kind of milestone you have to pass to be able to put stuff on the marketplace, because really it's starting to get a little annoying seeing people that joined 2 weeks ago putting stuff on the marketplace because they think that that is where the money really is, ripping people off.

    Just my 2 cents.

    I'm here for the drama, I'm here to see YOU make jokes about members, watch them leave and move on from this joke, "sous chef". You don't deserve the title, and you know it.

    None of this drama goes on anywhere else, especially by moderators.

    You disgust me.

    Why would GameSalad even choose you for a sous chef? Several people have sent me emails to report you to GS. I did, every time.

    I don't agree with the minimum age model either, there are just as many if not more adults publishing shovelware.

    Changing the model from free to paid would help eliminate some of the garbage, but GS needs to market their tool, and get as many eyes on it as possible... it's a double edged sword.

    And people need to chill out about updates, software and games get pushed back all the time. Just deal.

    Wow all I did was ask if I should close down a thread with outdated information. Sorry to touch such a sensitive nerve. Just trying to do my job as a sous-chef which is closing down threads that are irrelevant.

    I do find it odd that people report me to you so that you can report me to GameSalad. That seems very odd if you ask me. It seems like maybe GameSalad would find the complaints slightly more legitimate if everyone submitted them in stead of just one person submitting them.

    Haha guys look. I'm not going to leave gamesalad I'm not complaining, (and I'm a Programer myself so don't even get me started on how long it takes to develop a sofisticated engine like this one. Look I'm just super excited as all of you are I'm sure. If I came on as that I'm sorry. As I said just barely I'm a software engineer and I know my sh*t about programing and engines. As for the mini debate on Age that is a stupid Idea. Gs's moto is Game Creation for everyone not Game creation for everyone 18 and up.

    it's near the end of september and gamesalad is behind, but I CAN WAIT....

    I can wait for the greatest tool in my arsenal of making games to do a proper update....

    I can wait for the bugs to be worked out.....

    I can wait so I can save my @ss countless hours of late night coding using a simple drag and drop behavior.

    Ah well I think next time it would be wise to word your thread title better. The current one sounds like a 13 year old kicking his feet cause he wants it all right now or else he's gonna go somewhere else. The all caps and exclamation marks really emphasize that as well.

    But hey I guess if it was supposed it imply how excited you are for the next update well then there was a lot of mis understanding in the thread. So glad you cleared that up.

    Why is there a debate on a minimum age? I was making fun of the thread title, I wasn't actually serious.

    The update will be out when it's ready. I can say We sous chefs have not heard anything about it yet either.
