In january I was making a game for XBLIG. I have always wanted to make a game the size of an XBLA game. I feel that I could do this on the mac app store. I just found my artsist and we are about to begin production.

So which one should I make the game in the macbook or the HD version? I would like to make the HD version but im not sure that people can play it on their macbook.

Also which resolution would be more profitable?

Has anybody explored these two resolutions.

    I would have thought that:

Macbook (1280x800) is the best choice for the 13inch Air, current Macbooks and older iMacs

HD (1280x720) is best for the baby Air and current iMACs [Widescreen 16:9]

but other peoples experience may suggest otherwise.

I have personally found that my games tend to sell better on the Macbook, for one main reason. Backward compatibility. Macbook games will run fine on iMacs, however iMac games tend to get slowed down on the Macbook.

    Good Luck!
