Hi Ben, the bottom one is more consistent with how light would reflect. You could augment it even more with a lighter oval shaper that mimics another reflection.
To see some examples, google "flash shiny sphere" ... ore something like that
You could also apply a gradient to give the shapes the illusion of being round (kind of like a camera).
