constrain tilt to circle...

Hey everyone,
Anyone here have any ideas on how to constrain an actor to a circle and then move that actor around that circle, I mean the outer edge of the circle, by tilting? So when I tilt X or Y direction, the actor still moves but just around in a circle kind of like it is on a track. I am really stuck on this one and could really use the help. Thanks for the great forum feedback already.

I mean, I want it to be constrained to a circle like it is on a track and follow that track as controlled by tilting.

SAMman, it sounds like you need to move the pivot point at which the actor rotates from the center of the actor to the center of your circular path, and then have the tilt controlling the rotation.

It's not something I've attempted before, but there is a guide on how to set up a rotation that is not constrained to the central pivot point here:

Good luck! let us know how it goes :)

i was thinking I could use min max somehow, but that didn't work either.

Is this different from the question(s) you asked yesterday? The solutions I gave yesterday will do what you are asking today. (Were they not detailed enough? Or didn't they work?)

they didn't work for tilt. they were good ideas though.

OK -- the tilt instruction was a little cryptic. Here is an example project that I think is close to what you are describing:

wow! Thanks man! That actually was exactly what I was trying to do!

    You are welcome.

You will probably notice how jittery the accelerometers make things. If you figure out how to smooth things out, I would be interested in finding that out.

yeah, I am working that out, I will let you know when I get it worked out, but you helped a ton!
