Keep colours (or colors!) in palette?

Howdy SaladLovers,
You see the colour picker? You see that row of white squares at the bottom that looks like you should be able to keep a bank of colours there for further use?
Can hen knee one tell me how to actually put a colour in there? You know, for further use?
I guess this is an Os X question, since the colour picker is kind of universal?
Thanks for your help, in advance, like.
Cheers

Hi, yes, you can make and keep colours in the Color Picker for future use:

Click on the third icon at the top, the Color palletes. Then you'll see, under the chosen colour, a pull-down menu labelled Palette. you can choose which you want to use, Developer included, to drag your colours down into the little squares for future use.

Also, if you click on the cog icon, you can make new palettes, named what you like. I'm guessing that means you can open and use palettes made in one GS file in another. :-)

Just drag and drop from the main well at the top (next to the magnifying glass) and they should stay in there for future use. It looks like you can store a maximum of 300! (but that can probably be altered with a plist change somewhere:))

Hiya, Rob; not melting in the crazy sunshine, I hope! :-)

(For those who live outside of the UK who don't know, the temperature here has been in the 80's today (and yesterday), just a bit surprising for the end of September...)
