    It seems like a crazy rumor. Here's why I think it might be possible...

    • Sprint is the only major U.S. carrier left with unlimited data.
    • Sprint has to do something to stay relevant.

    If the T-Mobile / AT&T merger goes through, Sprint could be toast. Today's the big Apple announcement, so I don't have to worry about rumors. The facts are less than three hours away.

    If it is true than its going to be like 2007 all over again and the unlockers will again have a purpose. I just hope it is not true.

    Not true at all. The iPhone 5 will be on AT&T and Verizon. Sprint is paying like $20 billion to Apple to obtain rights to sell the iPhone with its network. I would post a link to some sources but I'm on my iPhone and etc. Anyways just check out sites like Fidelity.com, CNN.com or the wall street journal, you'll see the facts about the Sprint and Apple deal. Anyways can't wait for the iPhone 5!

    Hey Guys.

    Thought i'll start a thread to discuss the features of the new iPhone. By the looks of it it is going to be named iphone 4S and it is going to look exactly like the iphone 4 CDMA model. Lets see what else Apple has in store for us.

    Well it is official basically the new iphone 4S is an iphone 4 with wicked fast dual core processor. 7x more graphics power than the iphone 4 (which is amazing for us). and a better camera that can shoot 1080p video.

    That's not exactly amazing for us. If you just target the 4S, that excludes all the potential customers without the iPhone 4S.

    I dont think it has enough features for an iphone 4 user to make the upgrade to the 4S.. It is basically the same thing unless you are a photograph enthusiast. Besides the iPhone 4 is fast enough already and the siri feature its cool and all but people are just going to play with it for like a couple of days.

    I own an iPhone 4. So I won't be upgrading period. iOS 5 is free so Siri is the only thing I really look forward to. That and icloud. Anyone else disappointed with apple ?!?!?

    iPhone 4S......I think there is enough here to be happy with, GS games should really fly on the new device with the A5.

    At least they did not change the screen resolution, i was expecting a whole new resolution to develop for. Thank goodness they did not.

    The speech recognition is pretty amazing, voice controlled games anyone?

    They are 'finally' updating the Apple site, a bit sloppy Apple. Usually after Steve presented the site was live immediately with the new content. Currently offline.

    If the iPhone 4S has 7x times the graphics/gaming performance of the iphone 4, maybe GS needs some kind of throttle to regulate frame-rates or games could run too fast?

    FYI Siri is only a 4s feature. Im not to disappointed. Why would they throw all their cards on the table now. This is actually a pretty cool upgrade just in the same iPhone4 body. I think the iPhone 4 is a beautiful device so why change it so fast.

    From a Strategy Stand point apple has done the right thing in My opinion. They will bring a majority of the 3g 3gs users still out their up to a new device and the boost in everything from those devices to this will be so amazing nobody is gonna bitch. The people who are pissed are the ones that do not want to wait till next for the next one. Im prob gonna wait I still have a contract on mine so its not like I could jump on this one anyway.

    Apple is generally a creature of habit so why would they change it now when it is working very well for them.

    Oh and one other thing I read somewhere not sure if I was misunderstood but this is an HSPA+ device which means Faster internet where available.

    I was a bit disappointed because I was hearing rumors of new designs, ect. But I will probably still get this phone just because my last iphone was the 3gs.

    Seems this is their new trend. Release a phone and then the next release is just a performance booster ... Think i'll stick with my 3GS. If its anything like last time, within a year they'll release the 5. I prefer the shape of the 3's, much nicer to hold without the hard edges, speed is quick enough, siri will be something to play with but something i probably wouldn't use too much (especially once the speaker goes crap like they always do) and the camera is cool but i don't take too many pics or videos!

    While the processor is much better and should run games much more smoothly just like the Ipad2 does when compared to the iPad, it does not have any more ram so it won't help as to GS games that crashed on iPhone 4 due to the memory leak and inability to release memory with GS. Thus, we still need the promised memory fixes as soon as possible.

    I downloaded the Siri app last year at some point. Still have it on my phone. Cool little app. I guess Apple bought the company?

    It's amazing, but a little gimmicky. I played around with it for a little bit, but eventually got tired of it. I haven't even opened it in a year or so.

    Without using it, this is my thought exactly. Im sure its been improved since then but i think it certainly will be gimmicky!

    I dont wanna turn this into a Big argument over memory issues. But I think its crap to blame GameSalads memory management Lackings as the reason your game crashes on an iPhone 4. With proper coding you can do a lot on a iPhone4 without crashing and I mean a lot.

    Sorry for the rant but thats just a cop out. Back to the subject at hand now.

    so basically the 4s has the same processor speed as the ipad2..

    which is cool.. loading times will be cut in half.. question is though with the 4 being only $99 now.. that is a tempting price for practically the same device and the 3g is free.. kids will have those soon

    seems like they want to overrun the market with iphones for those who have not yet been able to afford one..
