How to use flip animation behaviour?

Hey should be simple, but somehow can't get my head quite round it. Is the flip behaviour only for your static actor image, or can you use it to flip a walking right set of animations to walking left i.e. get rid of the need to have 2 sets of animations?

My character faces neutral (looking at you) position at rest. When keyboard right is pressed, he walks right and set of right animation images plays. I've put when keyboard left, flip self.graphics to 90 - but he doesn't animate left (because obviously I have not put in the left animation images or behaviour). Just trying to figure out the flip and I know I'm doing this obviously wrong somehow lol.
