Game published on iTunes performs differently from version published to device
Hey Guys,
I just developed a game and successfully published it to the iTunes store. However, it doesn't work as well as the one I published for my device. Aren't they supposed to be the exact same file? and theoretically work the same way?
After a few plays, the iTunes version of the game lags in speed and sounds drop out. This does NOT happen on the test version published for my phone.
Why would a Gamesalad game published for my device perform differently from the exact same file downloaded from iTunes?
Somebody help me here, because now I have a buggy game on the iTunes store.

to make sure we're on the same page...
1.)The "test version" was my game uploaded to GS and code-signed with a development profile and packaged for my device and transferred to my phone using my mac.
2.) An "adhoc build" would be a version uploaded to GS and code-signed with a distribution profile and then downloaded? (I've never done one of those)
3.) The "distribution version" would be a version uploaded to GS and code-signed with a distribution profile and then approved for sale on the iTunes Store. Apple approved it, and I downloaded it from Apple and it doesn't work as well.
4.) The "viewer build" is a version for the GS Viewer (and obviously not the best for testing.)
So I tested my game with the development version. It worked great, so I uploaded it to iTunes and downloaded it and it doesn't work so great.
"Test
Select this button to start testing your packaged .app on your iOS device. This option will immediately sync your .app through iTunes and make it possble to run your game...etc."
So I would assume that this is the same file that is ultimately uploaded to the iTunes store.
I think it's because I designed the game in the previous version of GameSalad made a test, then I upgraded to GS 9.80 for distribution.
Can I go back to the previous version of GameSalad???
ggrrrrrrr
this is basically as near as dammnit the version going on the appstore but its just for a list of devices you specify in your developer portal.
what you do is set this up, download the provisioning profile which has all your devices on (including yours) and then when you do a gamesalad publish to iphone you MUST select this profile in the dropdown box - when you do youll get the 2 options to test on your device or email to someone
dont just use the gamesalad viewer on your device - besides many other reasons you want to see what your app looks like and check the icon is nice :-)
I'm really pissed.
or you published your game using .9.7 after .9.8 was already released?

I published my test game in 9.7 and uploaded the game to Apple from 9.8.
BIG MISTAKE!
