omg now what, why i can't manage to install Xcode never. please help me.

i don't know what i should do,ok here is the problem when trying to install the program,aim in the part of select a destination, if i click on macintosh hd 490 gb available, it says "Xcode install assistant can't be installed on this disk. the version of mac os x is too new. so if i click on this second icon to the left, it says. "Xcode install assistant can't be installed on this disk. the contents of this disk can't be changed.

    umm i think i find the problem please correct me if i am wrong, i download Xcode 4.2 for snow leopard but now i have a mac with lion, i really don't know what to download now...

    If you go to the apple dev center's page for xcode download (https://developer.apple.com/xcode/index.php) under the link for 'Xcode 4.2 for snow leopard' there is a link for 'Xcode 4.2 for Lion'. (if you indeed have lion installed, otherwise there is no link there)
    Hopefully that helps :)

    i think you can also get an update through the mac app store
