When will we have the ability to publish our games to the Android market? On the Gamesalad roadmap it just says October. October is close to being over. When will this be a working feature?
Man that stinks that they removed android from the updated roadmap. I was really looking forward to it coming out this month. I have an android developer account and would like to put all of my apps on the android market.
No, I think Android is still coming, they haven't ditched it, it's just a matter of when Just don't expect it to come out according to the roadmap, like always, there will be delays, but everything is worth the wait!
Oh, I would rather have the ability to publish to android then to get iOS perfect. But that is just my opinion.

I hope they wait till iOS is perfect. Android does not look at all promising and I really don't want to have two platforms that are unpredictable and buggy I can publish to.
It does make sense to have iOS perfected first, but if they can perfect iOS while working on Android, it makes sense to do both from a marketing perspective, both for GS devs, AND GS itself. The more devices you can publish to, the more eyes you have on your games, and the more eyes on GS software itself...
iOS is always going to be a WIP, with new features, devices etc. I do agree though that we need a lot of iOS features like iAP, Twitter/FB, GC achievements, not to mention more options for coding like tables, joints etc, so I understand the frustration with that too...
Kindle Fire is coming in November, and Android is becoming more popular now, so it's exciting times for Android! The pre-orders numbers for Kindle Fire are good, and it will blow Nook out of the water
The iPad while a wonderful device, is an expensive item that not everyone can afford. At $199, Kindle Fire is a steal, and people will be flocking to that device! Parents won't be afraid to purchase them for their kids, and teenagers will be able to afford it moreso than the iPad.
Economy is tough at the moment, so it makes sense, and I think it will be a huge hit over Xmas. So if we can get Android before then, you're looking at another avenue to sell your games.

On the flip side of this butterbean - those that can afford the iphone/ipad have a tendency to buy more apps than on android. People who go for cheap phones tend to not want to pay for apps only free ones (at least thats what one study has said)
Honestly I came from Android and just started programming iPhone just a bit ago and the same apps are making about the same on each platform. The way I see it, if they allow us to release on Android soon we will be making about double the money for our games. Not to mention GameSalad will make probably even more than double for their software because not many Game Creators let you port it on both platforms that easily. Atleast not one as good as GameSalad.
I did some Andorid market apps, there are less buyers there compared to the App Store. You will have double the potential customers, but it will not be likely to see double sales.
Having said that, even a 20% increase is good...

I don't care about Android publishing, though. I'm just wanting that blasted snap-to-grid feature added.
IOS to perfected first then onwards.
It just makes sense.
IMHO
