iOS 5 and XCode 4.2

Please correct me if im wrong here, but i heard you need XCode 4.2 to be able to publish iOS 5 apps, i have XCode 4.

But looking at the apple website, it looks like XCode 4.2 only available to Lion OS users? im using Snow Leopard.

not sure if this information is true, but need to confirm, thanks.

    you can use xcode 4 on Leopard just as good

    Just installed Xcode 4.2 but version 4.1 still shows up when Xcode is open.
