My updates got rejected

Apple:
We found that your app duplicates the content and functionality of your apps currently available on the App Store. It would be appropriate your existing app on Store.

I have appealed to this because I have indeed 4 versions of Penny Shoel in the store but:
Customers can now choose if they want
- to buy a version with less skins and non retina for 1 tier.
- to try out a lite version for free.
- to buy a hd version with all skins, Retina Graphics and Game Center for 2 tier.
- to buy a dutch version of the hd version for 2 tier.

The new version has a Halloween Skin option so I hope this gets resolved in time.
How long does it take normally for apple to reply on an appeal?

I do build more apps, Beefy. I am on Game Salad full time for the last months. But I also like to 'beef' up the old ones. (Adding Game Center since I am pro is one thing)
This was my second build and with the knowledge I have now I was able to make it lots better.
Why would I leave it as it is?

I see, but are you 'beef'ing them up by creating new versions with more features or are you updating the current version(s) out by updating them with the new features?

A little bit of both. I see your point.
I think I will have to drop one.
Funny thing is that the one that got through was the new lite version which is in fact the one I can think of as a double version. the other once got approved in an earlier release.

Well. Let's see what they think of my appeal and then I guess I will withdraw one version anyway.

All of the apps mentioned are approved after my appeal with no change of anything.
I guess someone at Apple made a mistake.

that doesnt mean they made a mistake, you could have just had someone less strict look over your appeal

theres no reason apple should allow 4 different versions of the same app regardless of differnt features, if thats indeed what your doing
