can't drag image for icon because not 512x512

my son developed a game and now cannot publish because when he clicks and drags the icon, it says it must be 512 x 512 what is the problem?

the icon is not 512x512 px at 72 dpi

thx but how does he change the dpi?

right click on the image, go to open with preview, when it opens in preview click tools from the top file bar, then adjust size. Make sure the width and height are 512 and make sure the resolution is 72 and set to pixels/inch. Thats the dpi
