Publishing problems
Hi guys,
Is anyone else having publishing problems today? everytime I go publish my project I get 'the file couldn't be opened because it isn't in the correct format' error? I know this project should work as I published it to my iPhone on friday, but today I get this error - I have had a look through the forum and noticed its when the GameSalad servers go down? just wondering if anyone else has had any problems this morning?
Cheers,
Chris

when do you get the error? when you open it? or when you publish it?
Roy.
I did two things so either of these might be the answer...
I deleted (uninstalled) Game Salad from my Mac and reinstalled, and then while publishing I made sure to (in the advanced options on the provisioning screen) select the highest ios version selectable (4.1) and make sure you have the requires ARM v7 selected....then it published fine.
Hope that helps some.
It's a bit of a strange one really mate - I had saved a backup of the project, and had actually renamed it, thats when I got the error? I opened up the back up (before I re named the project) and it seemed to work fine now? very strange as i've worked on loads of little apps and never had this problem before, must be a little gamesalad bug, darn it.... still, at least it's working now.
Cheers,
Chris
The way i see it , you zipped the file , and used 3rd party app to unzip it , like "zipeg" or something , this caused me errors in the past ,
Using the right click on the file and choosing open with > archive utility is the way to go .
Not sure if this was your case , But now you learned a new thing
