Well you can always make the game crash by loading like 100 1024x1024 images (even simple white images to save space) and it will exit the app , but this is not recommended
Did gamesalad recently increase their price? I remember when I first joined like a month ago it was $99 maybe I just completely read it wrong but $499 seems like a drastic change. I downloaded it and wasn't planning on buy the pro version till my app was complete. Now I'm looking at it and not sure if it is even worth it for me to finish it.
i'm a PRO and i don't can use a game saladPro feature, because a function url don't work! i have tree project for society still! for months waiting for the fix! now my license has almost come to an end, we are not sure that we will renew the license. I'm hoping for a discount on the license for these errors..

Maybe you got confused... To join the 'iOS Developer Program' in Apple you have to pay $99/year. To get GameSalad Pro it is $499/year.
You mean that everyone should be paying to use GameSalad? Even if many people are still experimenting to find out very well how it works? Like me? What about the introduction/teaser video of GameSalad? What does it say at the end?
The GS Pro $499 for the first year and then $99 yearly sounds good and makes every advanced developer stay for much more time and be loyal to GameSalad, I think.

But this debate will always rage! Yay!

That's a good idea. But maybe then there should be a cheaper (with lower privileges of course) version of GameSalad PRO, something like GameSalad Publisher Licence and pay $25/year or so.
Anyhow, I like it's free, but I know that if the Chefs charge to publish, then there will be less chances of having bad games made with GameSalad and people will stop saying "there only come bad games with GameSalad."

"Oh, and did we mention it's free?"
GS never use to be free you always had to pay for it regardless of being a Pro or Standard user. What I'm saying is you can download GS and use it, develop your game and if you decide that you want to publish the game you have to pay $99/$49 for the first year.
What we've seen since GS went free is not always pleasing to the eyes, ears, brain, etc
I was going to join when my app was complete. But lately I have been having second thoughts. My first concern is the issue GS is having with apple updates. My second concern is that when I look over postings including my own many don't get responded to or a followed up on. The post is about my third concern, inconsistencies, when I review my app where it was working and then it wasn't.
Once problems are flushed out I think and initial fee of $499/year is fair and a $99 per year after that would be fair. Thanks.

It does not really matter what GameSalad does with the pricing, whatever way they go, some people are going to get upset about it and not like the decision. Unfortunately, you just can't please everybody.

I have been wanting this for quite a while. $499 a year seems like a bit much, but as a one time payment followed up by $99 a year, it seems way more reasonable.
Thanks for the responses and the merge I guess I just misread it, I most likely will be purchasing the $499 and rationalize the cost as paying someone to do the coding for me. I figure if my apps make like $40 a month then it pays for itself.
Edit: Something else to think about maybe lowering the price on black friday or cyber monday and get some extra members that maybe wouldn't have bought at $499.

Btw, what happened? Did your poll merged with this poll? Hahaha I felt strange somehow.

Gamesalad - Game creation for EVERYONE.
If it wasn't free then it wouldn't be everyone.
I think it should stay as it is.
