Graphics Question
Yes, I know you guys have answered this a lot of times, but I want to tell you what I'm doing and ask my personal questions:
I am making my graphics basing myself in the 960x640 px retina display.
That means I made a 960x640px project file with Adobe Illustrator and I am using the work area to base myself in the sizes.
But when I put them in GS, they are twice bigger, so I just divide by 2 the size, but the question is: Will it work fine in iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4S?
This doesn't let me sleep, how will I be able to make my game look the best in iPhone 4S if the working area in GS is 480x320?
Because instead of using my 128x128px png image, I resize it in GS to 64x64px.
Or the answer is: iPhone 4+ duplicates your pixels?
Edit: Please move this topic to Art & Graphics!
Thanks!

Have you set your document and 'Pixels Per Inch' settings correctly.
Retina display has 960-by-640-pixel resolution at 326 ppi (See Apple's site for more info)
The way to do it...
Make your full screen graphics at 960x640....
Then in GameSalad, make sure you have 'Resolution Independence' ticked on, it's on the project info page.
Then when you import an image it should bring it in and it will be at half the size you've made it at. When it is published gamesalad makes a half size version of all your graphics destined for non retina screens (3GS, 3G, 2G) and phones with retina displays (iPhone 4 and 4s) will use the larger graphics.
So when making graphics work at double the size to all your measurements in GameSalad.
So if you have a 50 x 50 px actor in GameSalad, make a 100 x 100 px image and put it on the actor.
Hope that makes sense...
Good luck.
Jon

If you want to use illustrator, cut and pase it to PS.
That works best for me.
(Illustrator pixels are not pixels, but that is a long story so I will not bother you with that)
Lump Apps and My Assets
@LudwigHeijden: I'll use Illustrator and then copy/paste to PS as you said. I wont change Illustrator at the moment since I don't know how to use other programs.
By the way, when I create a new project file in Illustrator and in Photoshop, what should I use to optimize the graphics, and as well don't abuse and make my files as small as possible (in memory) but retain the best off of them?
Illustrator
Should I change my 'Raster Effects' to 'High (300 ppi)' ?
Photoshop
Should I change from 8 bit to 32 bit?
'Resolution should be 72 or 300?
cheers
Now I just have to merge my Ai designs to Ps and then export from Ps.
