Falling out of the sky...

How do I make something look like its falling out of the sky but at the same time I can control the character in the air as it falls.

    have a character middle of the screen and animate clouds, flying past.... give your character flapping clothes...a cape, parachute, jet pack... etc...

    Also I think Deep Blue Apps have a sky diving template in the collection.
