:-) I'm looking for a forest scene at night as art work that I can use in a game.

Again, that is classified information that can only be revealed privately... What are you trying to do? Unveil my family secret that has been passed on from generation to generation? This secret has been around since 9 days before the invention of the toothbrush and 9 days after the invention of the fish.

Specifying your budget may help attract the artists .... I'm guessing you were hoping for free though but i'll be surprised if many people will help when all you say is ...

Have a word with Skymaple, he seems to be having a lot of luck with that style:

Maybe he can give you a few pointers.

Does that mean I probably won't get a new house either? :)

Actually, I'm just trying to find a solution. It's a roadblock on my project at the moment. I've looked at and tried different approaches and can't find a solution yet. I thought I would post it and see if I could get any feedback that could help. Free art is great. But it doesn't have to be such. I could wake up at 5 AM and pay a visit to a forest. That might be the best solution.

As for budget for art, I'm not sure what would be good?

Oh no Ace, you'll get your house, all you've said is you need a new house so someone will take the time to donate ;)

Thats good. So why don't you detail what you are looking for and put contact information for artists to get hold of you? Or look in the jobs section as there are lots offering their services in there

No... I've told you before, a pony is for life, not just for Christmas... Plus, when I wrap it, it's a little obvious what it is, like wrapping a tennis racket ;)

The photos on istockphoto.com are really nice!! But they are pricey if you want to buy them. But it's great for ideas!

I ended up using a regular daylight photo of a forest and converted it to night using Gimp. This video tutorial was really helpful for me:

I thought about using a rendered forest, but I couldn't get the right look.

I would do it if I thought I would find a good solution that way.
