Graphic Making Programs?

I am a begginer to graphical development and only a teen, so it would be great if you knew about any art work making programs that are cheap and have a short learning curve.

    Hi stimpers... there are various free programs out there and it depends on the style of art you want to create. With blender you have a great 3D tool, vue's free version lets you render beautiful landscapes and backgrounds, gimp is a great overall bitmap tool, inkscape allows you to create vector art for free.
