Hey Guys,
A lot of people have been having this issue so I googled it. If you are experiencing a parse error check to see if this fixes it.

Mine was pre-selected so I don't know if it a fix but its worth a shot.

    Thanks tenrdrmer ,
I had a parse error before , and tried this solution , unfortunately it didn't worked for me ,
what i did was putting the viewer (apk) file in the SD card, and downloaded from the market "apkinstaller" - its free , and installed the viewer from the SD .

So thats another solution for you guys .

I was talking about installing the viewer , i havent published any game yet to android , the
"GameSalad-Android_Viewer-0.9.85-beta.apk" was giving me parse error when i tried to install with via email ,
so i did the thing with the "apkinstaller" , and it installed the viewer .
Im not saying its a guaranty solution , but it worked for me.

    Cheers

Im getting the parse error when trying to install the viewer on my device via email! Any other way of doing this?

I tried to follow tenrdrmer's link but i don't seem to have that same menu. If i go settings > more > device i have 'Allow installation of applications', i have enabled this but still getting the parse error!

I live in the UK and a friend picked me one up on holiday and i can't stream or download anything off of the store as its only available in the US at the mo!

@beefy just install using the ADB

    http://developer.android.com/guide/developing/tools/adb.html

you can drag and drop file names into terminal.. works out very speedy:)

    adb install GameSalad-Android_Viewer-0-1.9.85-beta.apk

Thanks Rob. I'll be sure to look into it once my mini usb cable has arrived. So annoying they don't supply one out of the box!

beefy have you tried installing via the SD card?
Put the viewer (apk) file in the SD card, and download from the market "apkinstaller" - its free , and install the viewer from the SD card. that way you don't need to wait for the cable ;)

I did it on motorola milestone and galaxy s2 , it worked .

thats good... I'm a cable guru hoarder ex wireman (amongst a few other things) so get a bit upset when people pay to much for wires. The early days of HDMI were very painful :)

I'm in the process of sorting out a Fire.. so we will have to get on top of the whole store scenario.

Hey , its in the android market , no amazon , if you have a device that runs android , you can download it , go into "market" and search for it.

    Cheers

Yup, i did find that out after searching. However i only have the kindle fire and if i go to market.android.com it just redirects me to the amazon store!

Rob, ah i see :) Yes HDMI was ridiculous at the start, i did always wonder if there was any difference with all the gold top connectors and what not. I watched an episode on the gadget show that tested like a £5 cable against an £80 cable and there was no difference. Shocking what people try and get away with!

The problem with the store i think is licensing. It seems you can still download books ok, obviously in the UK we have the standard Kindle which is books, so the licensing is sorted but now they're going into apps and the likes, i guess they haven't ironed out all the legal issues. I hope whatever the issue is its sorted soon and its available in the UK/Worldwide etc so that it works here :) and theres a bigger market of users to sell too.

I can get to the android market on my fire if i go through google, i have now found the apkinstaller but when i try and download, after signing it says 'there are no android phones associated with this account'. I don't have any android phones, do you know if i can associate the fire to it?

I was able to install the GS viewer on my Kindle fire by sending it to my G-mail and at the bottom it asks if you want to save it. Save the file and then go to the app store and do a search for apk installer and download 'Easy Installer" it's free. Boot it up and you will see the viewer press install and you're done. Oh and make sure you have gone to settings, the gear next to the wifi meter, and click devices and set the 'allow Installation of Applications to 'ON"

    Hope this helps

Yes it is the fire but i've never owned any Kindle so have no usb cable that fits. Was hoping the ps3 one might but doesn't. The cable should be here tomorrow or thursday :)
