On the Android store my app is still not available to any devices "This application is available to over 0 devices."

Has anyone successfully published an app to the Android store from GS and if so which ones ?

I do on Amazon. Im not happy With it though as I asked for them to stop reviewing and pull it before it went live and instead they sent it live and then said do you want us to take it down while you put in an update? Um YA THINK. I said I found a major bug after submission. My experience so far with Amazon is they are very slow to respond since even after replying directly to the email they sent asking me its still live.

Ugg Now if GameSalad would just let me republish I would be a happy camper. Its worth noting the version on Amazon is the Kindle Fire Resolution version and it was compatible with the HTC thunderbolt I was testing on. The on'y thing that was off was the custom splash. It stayed the Full Fire Resolution Size but the Game it self scaled down to the handheld Size. I'm thinking this may actually be a better orientation for the Handheld devices instead of using the iPhone Layout.

Hi tenrdrmer, How many devices does it say it's available for or is that just an Android Store thing and on Amazon app store. Also which app is it ? I'd like to see if I can download it and test it on my Samsung Galaxy Tab, promise to leave it a good review.

    Cheers Jel

Well here is the link. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006BDM40Y

Just got lucky and had a build go through GameSalad so its been updated for a review. Be warned there are some funky bugs Like the very first screen pops up and asks if you want to enable GameCenter(Thank you GameSalad for not letting me know shutting the rule off would not work)

Amazon just lists the devices you have that are compatible So I think its just an Android Market thing

    Hi tenrdrmer,

Thanks for the link but seems like after downloading the Amazon AppStore app, registering my details & finding your game it then tells me I can't download apps because I'm in the UK. No wonder Android apps sales are so bad.

Ah yes. I think you have to use a VPN connection to a proxy server so you can get apps through amazon overseas. Although its funny I have been told by android devs they do better on the Amazon and Nook US only market than the Regular Android Market

I guess thats because theres less apps available for those particular devices, but there are loads of people who own them, so loads of money or downloads then!! :),
    Just my two cents,
    Jack

That is certainly my hope. I will say though So far Just getting setup to Nook is a huge Pain in the A$$. Lots of waiting for no apparent reason. And for some reason they are not capable of letting you submit all information they need to review to give you access to the developer program at one time. First its a long as application of how your apps fit with the nook device and then after a 2 week review if you are accepted you get to submit your company/developer info and banking and billing info. THen you go into review again. Once this is accepted I should be able to submit my app. Although I have heard your first app Submission will be a 2 week review as well. Ugg Frustrating times. And GameSalads Stinking Publishing Error hasn't made things less frustrating. But hey I guess I shouldn't complain There are some who cannot publish even when the publishing is working.

Ya, I've delt with barnes & noble before for ebooks, and there customer/developer service IS a pain in the a$$, i had to what 1 and a half months just to get my ebook published and i removed it shortly because, i wasn't earning reasonable amounts, and also i wanted to add more to it but never got around to it, i was considering publish to iOS, but again, i still haven't got around to it. As for going to have to wait for the review before you access the dev center, thats stupid in my opinion and also, a pain. Ya game salads publishing error is getting on my nerves,
And also i updated to the new version and ever since i did the creator quits every 2 seconds!!,
    Again,
    My two cents,
    Jack

Yes i think its an error with GS, or maybe the way they set up android publishing with these companies, I think the clever thing to do, would be to contact GS about your issue, and especially because loads of people are having the same issue,
( i should make this my issue) Just my two cents,
    Jack

From what i can tell you can't use a proxy on the kindle fire as you can't setup a VPN :( There appears to be no option to allow you to set this up!

Zombie Claus was just approved and is live on the amazon site for android but not yet showing up on the kindle site. Hopefully soon.

Here's the amazon link if anyone wants to give it a try:

How are you guys releasing your games with the audio delay issue? Is it a kindle fire only issue?

Did you use the play music instead of play sound workaround tshirtbooth suggested?

I was just looking through the list and saw Zombie Clause. Pretty cool. From what I understand Kindle Fire is a whole separate review they will get to after you are on the amazon Store.

Hi Guys. Did someone figured out yet how to publish an Android Game to Google Play Store? I keep trying but my Developer Console says "This application is available to over 0 devices.", so it's not showing to any search on devices...
It is a GameSalad bug? I don't want to publish my games only on Amazon, some of my reasons to buy the Pro License was Google Play.
Anyone has come with a solution for this yet?

    Regards,

I have a beta version of my game Vortex currently published to the Android Marketplace / Google Play Store and it is a waste of time, I have had hundreds of sales on the iOS store for every 1 of my Android sales.

Unfortunately I can't update it to the latest version due to size constraints on Google's marketplace.

I recently submitted my latest version of Vortex to the Amazon App Store and hope for better sales on there!

@aiyra , IIRC , this was caused by an error in the way your generated your keystore. What method are you using?

For one, Google Play Sucks. Amazon and Nook sales are much, much better. That being said...

When I first published to Google Play, I had the same thing as you, "available to 0 devices". It has now been a while, but I seem to recall it was something I did in the google submission process that fixed that, not the GS process.

I'm fumbling here, but the google submission process may have an "enable this version" check that you'll need to select, if I remember correctly...

Just looked... You should see two tabs... Product Details and APK. Click on APK and make sure the file you uploaded is active.

@CreeperWare - Thanks! I'm using this one, http://developer.android.com/guide/publishing/app-signing.html#cert , the one that GameSalad redirect us to.

@LiquidGameworks - Man, THANKS! I was so worried about a bug on GS as I've read on this post that for some reason i've never saw into the APK tab! Now I've clicked on "Activate" and it says "This application is available to over 1270 devices". Thanks! Everyone should been having the same problem an this seems to be the solution!

@Jel, does this trick works for you too?

@aiyra It's great that you got it working.

It's also nice that you're willing to spread the knowledge to help others with the same problems, however, all the threads you have posted to are over 6 months old. Just keep an eye on the thread dates, and probably shouldn't resurrect any that are over a month old. :)

Hey there, yes, I an app on Google Play:
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.iantyndall.pmpninja&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5pYW50eW5kYWxsLnBtcG5pbmphIl0.

I found that the solution was exactly what you found. Once you upload the binary, you need to click the "Activate" file to make it available to devices.
