I'm a newbie working on a test for my game (a quicktime movie of the first level test done in flash is here: http://moronica.net/level1_test.mpg).

it's a scrolling shooter and I just attempted to bring in the main scrolling background into GS and it's pretty wide - 6656 pixels x 320 tall. It's a PNG...

when i dropped it in all I see is a big white rectangle...

I chopped it in half and it imports fine but it would suck to have to use two pieces...

not sure what to do...

1000 in the max, so you'll have to break it down into parts.

I cut it in half (3600 pilxels) and it imported it fine so that's a bit better/easier...

The HARDWARE limitation for images on the iPhone is 1024 x 1024. Anything larger will not run properly/efficiently if at all once you test on the iPhone.

Save yourself from a headache later & chop it so it's under 1024 x 1024.

EDIT: If that is your game in the movie, looks real good. Keep it up.
