Long Pants for Forum?

Hey All,
I see there are over 100 pages for this forum and it's only going to grow exponentially as more people come on board. I'm sure a lot of the posts are repeated because this is essentially just one long page.
I wonder if it's time to create a classic style forum with topics like "Noob Questions", "How To's" "Game Announcements" etc. It would be much easier to search topics.
Also an added benefit would be to get email notifications of replies to a specific thread you might be following.
What does everyone think? Especially the GameSalad owners?

I like the idea of some sort of notification to posts, but not by email... I think on site would do well. I'm not sure about categories, looks like the ones we have work pretty well.

This is still beta software, so some information is going to go out of date... already has as new versions come out. The problem of sorting would be a big undertaking. Maybe it's time for some volunteer moderators?

I recommended adding some version specific "boards" to post under. I've been pretty diligent at adding tags to my posts and to my replies to others' posts to make searching/browsing more robust. I'd help moderate if their software supports mods.

Usually in forums email notification is opt in (optional) so I use that a lot as it saves me digging.
Right now the posts are not categorized. They are sequenced as a list, like this one I created for example.
Even a thread for different release versions might help.
The posts so far could all be archived as Beta posts.

And just to add this here, I think they need to make the search mechanism more prominent on the forums page.

I'll be happy to host a forum on my website - I have tons of space and my friend owns a hosting service. But, importantly, I don't want to draw away any attention from GameSalad itself.

I can easily register a site like www.gamesaladforums.com or something. Let me know, my services are at your disposal.
