No need for a scrolling layer unless you want a HUD (heads up display)/interface. For that just add the Control Camera behaviour to your character and when you move that actor the camera should follow it.
If you mean more along te lines of some of the other game editors like torque there is an option to have x or u wrap. That will create a scrollig effect. The shooter demo has notes Embedded or there is a walkthrough in the wiki as well.
when i add the camera behavior to the main guy and i move him nothing happens. I mean how do i make a layer like the platform game demo so that it will go out of the camera shot and when you move the character the camera follows?
i can't make a background where its to big for the camera. my background always ends up fitting and if i increase it's size then what ever is in the area shows and the camera won't follow me out of screen.
