New Forum: Pros and Cons.

Hey guys write in what you like and dislike!

- It use to be easier on the eyes.
- Having to click again to goto the Discussion thread is a pain.
- The new comments section (where i'm typing now) is good though.
- Time limit for edits are good.
- There is a Post time, but it doesn't match my time.

    Yes if they can set it to default to discussions on load that would be great as many of use that I think - but don't see it happening.

    VERY HAPPY TO SEE A "MY DISCUSSIONS" FEATURE! No more tedious searching :D

    does "my discussions" work for threads you comment on too? or only threads you start??

    just figured it out my self... sadly it doesnt let you find the post you commented on, just the ones you started

    A good step in the right direction though :)

    @morphinegamingmachine if you are tagged in a twitter style and then click on your name, you can now see all your posts, not just topics you have started :)

    I'm not usually one to complain about the way something looks so long as the functionality is there, but I absolutely can't stand the new forum.

    The one little thing I don't like is how you have to scroll to the bottom to go to page 2, 3, etc. Used to be at the top so if you wanted to go right to the last page you could.

    @floydiansprial Its really not that bad. It gives you a reason to read the thread and when you come back to the thread it will automatically go to the last page you where on. So you only have to do it once.

    At first I did not know there was a new forum so it looks ugly I thought my page was not loading correctly so I was refreshing and refreshing lol. I miss the purple color it make easy to read.

    I like it. It take some getting used to but change is always good!

    Edit: I'm not a sous chef anymore :'(

    Don't like it. Looks very busy.

    The gray background to the names are distracting and make it very hard to read. The boxes and the font sizes on the categories looks busy and I don't understand why I need to click on discussions...

    Not really an improvement. The only plus is the preview option to the comment box.

    Looks like the votes have it.

    I should of done a Poll. The new look / colour out is disappointing.

    Just learned if you check the star in the upper right, it turns yellow and you get an email when someone comments on that particular thread. That is cool. I wonder where the "favorites" option went, but it already wasn't working for a long time in the old forum.

    I'm not a fan of the Vanilla software, Yes, I've mentioned that already.
    I guess if you any FREE forum software then Vanilla is OK though.

    Also the new color scheme is TOO BRIGHT, I also miss the old colors.
    Must easier on my old eyes.

    Just a reminder guys, we are in the process of updating the new forums with additional plug ins for a fuller experience.

    @RKS Thanks for your plug in suggestions. We will definitely take these into account as we continue to update.

    Just something I have noticed. Sometimes when I click Post Comment it won't post it. When I click over to preview I can most times.

    I just look into the adding, I think it is unite easy to add those, just download them and put it in the plugins folders, or am I wrong ?
