Angry Birds !!! Featured ???? Again ????

I love Apple to the maximum
But why every single episode of angry birds get to be featured, N&N and even special feature banners. Ok rovio and chillingo I got it ; the game is cool and everybody likes it but seriously WHY ?

Angry birds Seasons
Angry birds original
Angry birds rio
Angry birds ........ Etc

    It's also, I would imagine, made a fair few quid for Apple. It's in their interest to keep pushing it.

    Yeah, I bet 90% of Apple would agree there are far more "fun" or "better" games out there but doing this is a win-win situation for Apple. Apple wins because it sells (and has sold) the most, and the customers (players) love the game. No reason they won't push it even more..

    Anyone know of any ways to get your app noticed for being featured or is it something they find themselves and decide?

    It is both. First of all you have to have a good game. But it is sometimes not enough.
    I know if your game gets reviewed or featured on popular blogs or forums etc. (like touch arcade) Apple will most probably give you a front page seat. But again, sometimes having a good game enough.

    Well I guess I'll have to bug those blogs and forums to give my game in the works an excellent review won't. Time to look for blackmailing material ;p jk

    Nothing mentioned on Wikipedia but in some blogs it says that it been downloaded 500 million times " 500,000,000"

    Angry Birds Gets Featured Because it makes Lots of money. Apple Features Apps they thing other users will buy lots of. You need to have a good game and convince some of the bigger sites like TA to do a review. If TA likes it you have a good shot at a Good Feature. And if you want the Angry Birds treatment. Your first feature prob needs to make Lots and Lots of Sales.
