Making Platform Controls

I need to make platform controls for left, right, and jump. I have the left and right controls, but I can't seem to figure out the jump control. Any ideas? Thanks!

I wouldn't use accelerate, as is said in the cookbook. I would change the linear velocity y to [add an amount to taste].

is there an easy way to move left, right and jump without accelerate? cause when i use the move attribute for left and right the actor doesn't fall properly?

Yes. you can change the linear velocity X when the arrow button/ arrow key is pressed.
