Best sites to advertise?

Hey guys, so I decided to test out advertising a bit and put one up today on AppAdvice's site (not too pricey). Not much success yet though. Has anyone else advertised and found it to be successful?

I havent personally tried it, but Facebook offers very low priced advertising

I tried facebook ads but didn't see a big increase. may work different for you though.

www.apptrawler.com were offering some free advertising to co-inside with their relaunch. There was some Twitter following thing but that's it...

One interesting thing is it seems the sites you advertise on are more likely to have coverage on your game. I just started advertising on appadvice's site and they suddenly chose Traffic Ninja as the app of the day and covered it on their podcast. Dunno, maybe just a coincidence but odd.
