GameSalad opens the wrong way up?

Hi Guys,

I am starting to get some feedback on my first app and and one that struck me as interesting was that Gamesalad opens the wrong way up, compared to most games... and that the headphone jack gets in the way of the on screen joysticks.

Is there anyway of making it the other way around as the headphone jack issue could be a re-occurring problem.

Thanks

Is that on a iPod Touch because on my iPhone everything is in perfect position.
    Speakers are not covered
Headphone wire comes kout fine too
The volume button is just at the top of my index finger

yes, the main ipod button is on the left of the screen. Which means, when you hold it (thumbs on joysticks) the headphone jack is stuck in the palm of your hand.

I noticed this too. Gamesalad apps open the other way up to most other apps.

I like the way GS opens up, i can get to the Volume buttons pretty easy this way. :D

Ask for the standard iPhone accelerometer screen rotation to be an option for the next build of GS perhaps. Does not bother me really.

I agree with Derek, the volume button actually makes sense that way, all other games leave the volume at the bottom and back to front.
It would be nice to have the option though.....?
While we're here, I see that all iPad games MUST be fully rotatable in any direction or it won't be accepted. I wonder if anyone knows how possible and likely this is in future releases fo GS?

    @ Slowboy
Not to sure myself, sure GS will add a screen rotation at some point.
But anywho, all iphone and ipod touch games will work for the ipad, so im not to worried atm.

Aside from the game being upside down compared to almost all non-GS landscape games, the way it is now tends to put your thumb on top of the speaker on the iPhone.

The issue becomes apparent when you are using headphones. For the most part, iPhone users aren't using headphones with the phone, but iPod Touch users certainly are, as it is, after all, an iPod.

The headphones jab into your palm while you are playing, and make games that use a virtual joystick in the lower left corner, quite cumbersome.

I personally hate the orientation most games are played b/c my hand covers the speaker & I can't hear ANYTHING. I like how GS doesn't do that.
