4 player controls not working as it should

I´m making a 4 player game. Each player has two controls to control left and right with. player 1 and 2 is working good but not player 3 and 4. I have maked two buttons , left and right. Rule: When left button is pressed(touch) and touch is inside change attribute left to 1, otherwise change it to 0. The same thing have I done with the right control. but even because I have maked the rules on each player exactly the same (I hope) it´s not working. Can someone help me please? Can game salad only handles two touches at the same time? this is driving me crazy because I'm done with the rest of the game.
