Gieger Counter effect.
I want to create a Gieger Counter Effect. Using the accelerometer. Here are some images to give you the idea.

The noise ! It's all in the noise ! Got to get a great Geiger counter noise.
And whatever you do, do not get the 'i' and 'e' in the wrong order ('Geiger' not 'Gieger') when you come to publishing the app !

Is that the mechanic you are wanting?
The real trick is getting the needle to rotate on one end. There are some write ups on this forum about how to do that, but I took the easy way out and kind of "cheated"... I used an actor that had a graphic in the top half and was invisible down below. Then I put it BEHIND a graphic that had a window in it. And I changed the rotation of the graphic based on the value of the Accelerometer....
You'll want to experiment to see what values on the accelerometer should match to the rotation. So an X axis value of .08 might mean you rotate the needle 45 degrees...
To really see how it works I suggest you build three actors in a scene. For each actor use Display Text to show one axis value (X, Y and Z)... And then test on your phone. It's amazing how touchy/sensitive it is :-)
