This is way off topic, but hey it's the Non-GS games section . . . . !
: )
Here is the latest video for my friends 'The Loose Salute' - I shot the video on zero budget, one camera (5DmkII) one light and a few beers - I did all the post / effects in After Effects.
And here's the previous video I made for them back in the summer.
Cheers . . .

Are you London based? Do you gig?
Cheers !
Just to be clear, I am not in the band ! : )
I just made the videos for them - I am London based, but they're from Cornwall, but they do gig in London quite a bit, did a couple of gigs at Rough Trade East and the Borderline recently.
The guy spinning in the second video is Ian (one of the two singers).
Cheers aalzanki !

> "They do look a bit Cornish come to think of it" . . . . you should see their fingers, at least seven on each hand.
> "I thought you were the singer because you have her in your avatar pic." . . . I was in the middle of making the (top) video when I was looking for an avatar - and laziness dictated my choices.
> "Like the swaying particles synced to the blond haired female singer" . . . . Someone from Vimeo emailed me about that, asked which version of Trapcode Particular™ (the AE based particle generator) I'd used - and did I do the rendering in After Effects or was it exported to an external ray tracer to render a more realistic 'bokeh' as he thought it looked very realistic, especially the way it was interacting with the environment . . . blah blah blah . . etc
I felt a bit cheap when I admitted that I had just got some glitter, threw it up in the air and filmed it while the lens was out of focus, lol, you'd be amazed how much time and money laziness saves you.
keep up the good work!,
Jack
Cheers LeonardDeveloper: ) the budget was "one bottle of wine" (I drank the whole budget myself).
The only thing I bought was the circular fluorescent tube to light up Lisa's eyes (the singer in the top video).
Oh i thought you were the singer as your profile picture is that pic??

Forget about games, make music and video clips and you'll ride the wave. ;-)
Cheers Roy.

You will never turn me away from the dark side (Gamesalad). Lol !
: P
i'v worked as ads director for a couple of years back and i would like to say that's amazing Tynan.
- Selection of light, colors & effects is very neat, clear & catchy.
- Music just placed me in a good mood, i'll search that band; they look promising.
Well Done Tynan & The Loose Salute.
Edit: found them, going to buy their album from iTunes now.
Cheers LuckyLurcher ! I take 'art college feel' as a compliment ! : )
Thanks for the review, if you are nice to me and help me out with my appalling GS coding I will tell you which colours I used, red and blue . . . damn, given the secret away again.
: )
Cheers Rob.
Thanks for the comments, especially coming from a director ! : )
Try and check out their tune 'The Mutineer' (on Youtube) - it's one of my favourites, also the last album (Tuned to Love) is pretty cool too.
