Marketing Opt-Out Checkbox.. anyone know about this?

When Publishing an app in the android market there is this checkbox after the graphics:

"Marketing Opt-OutDo not promote my application except in Android Market and in any Google-owned online or mobile properties. I understand that any changes to this preference may take sixty days to take effect."

Is this saying that if you opt out you get no google marketing? seems like it reads "don't allow this to be promoted beyond google" which doesn't mean to not get any promotion from google.. so why would I not want outside marketing as well?

Thanks
Caleb

I think that means that when you check it Google will only promote it in their stuff.
    For example:
A game shop wants to promote your game. However this option was enabled. Google now disallows the game shop to advertise the app.

I *think* that's what it means. It might not be it.

cool, yea i just thought it sounded kinda vague..

"are you sure you don't not kinda want maybe us to definitely maybe allow your app to not be disallowed to potentially get any promotions from anyone not un-google"

    :)

Yeah this is super confusing, Has anyone tested having it on or off? The way they worded it makes no sense.
