i LOVE the idea, but is anyone woried about it taking attention away from us indie developer?

for those of you who don't know, onlive already has a VIEWER on ios, but the PLAYER (where you can play console games via stream) is due to come out for ios soon (its already out on android i think).

i think we will be ok though. :p

Yeah it looks amazing, I've played on my mac an its pretty dang impressive.

Certainly the future of big computer games.

I think (hope) there will always be a demand for the simpler games and apps too. People could already be playing some cool big 3d game on an iPhone .ie infinity blade. obviously some do well) .. but angry birds and now tiny wings and lots more still outsell them.

the experience of console game is different from mobile platform, it demands a lot more attention, and skills. so no not worried about it taking a chunk of the cake from indie developer. it's platforms such as gamesalad and it's competitors that you should worry about, if it's easy for you it's easy for everyone. just my 2 cent.

it's a double edge blade like anything else.

    Not at all.

Just because you can play Dead Space on your iPad, it doesn't make jetpack joyride any less fun. There is just every single type of demographic using iPhones so don't worry. For instance, onlive on iPad is something I will dig, but my wife could care less and will still constantly play one touch games

There's plenty of time until you can actually /play/ games on the Onlive viewer. Though you may see sales drop during the /player/ update, they'll pick back up again.
