How do I take a picture and put it into my game without the color around my pic?

When i put a picture into game salad and use it for a character there a background. How do i make it so it is only the subject of the photo as the character?

    so guys will the hit detection still register on the invisible background or no?

    yes it will. you can only have rectangular or circular hit detection - regardless of the transparency.
