Porting iPhone / iPad Portrait -> Mac

Has anyone done this successfully?

I've used tendrmr's "cheat" to resize from iPhone to iPad by resizing the scene camera size back to 320x480 but it doesn't work on the mac, everything comes out stretched. I tried resizing the actors width down by half but its still looking a bit weird. I was hoping to resize it down to roughtly iPad size, and then having black bars on the side, but i can't seem to make it work yet.

Thanks

Just use the same exact project you used to publish your ipad version and when you click publish do mac instead of iPad. I did it not to long ago with no problems.

Thanks mate, but when I do iPad -> Mac its still displaying full screen, which means its stretched horizontally. Do you change your scene camera size? or leave it at 320 x 480?

I changed the camera size. I also unchecked open in full screen. I don't know if the MAS requires full screen or not. But without have some different artwork I would think full screen will make the game look awful. If you do want to do full screen you will just need to work out the value you need to use to adjust the actor width or hieght to look right. By that i'm referencing how in my thread I mentioned anything round or square or that just looked off I added a change attribute to the actor that multiplied the width OR height by 0.9 the size variable you should adjust will depend mostly on the platform you are publishing for. for example iPad and Nook from the same iphone project will need the opposite variable adjusted.

I actually found quite a simple solution to this problem.

I leave the platform as "iPhone Portrait", but when click "publish" I choose Mac, and make sure that in the advanced options I choose "Full Screen ON".

As long as you have resolution independence turned on, and your images were double the size it comes out looking like a very nice Mac game. But it does have big black bars down the side, but it doesn't stretch everything!
