Get System Time and Date?

Just wondering if there's any way to get the current Time and Date. I didn't see any global variables for this, but I might have been looking in the wrong place.

    there is a game Time that starts running when you start your game, and you can access that, but you don't have access to the iPhone/iTouch's Time and Date.

    Thanks, that's what I figured. I think it would be cool to be able to access the iPhone/iPod Touch's Time and Date which would allow 'psuedo real-time' games, the kind that 'run in the background' like Virtual Villagers. :)
