Gamesalad Needs These...

Hello, Everyone,

I have come in mind while I have been making my games a few things that gamesalad should have...

1. Debugger: The Debugger would be great to have while looking at your project in preview mode.

e.g. The debugger could tell you if one behaviour is fighting with another behaviour to lets say... They are both trying to change an image of an actor at the same time continuously, then the actor screws up and changes image every 0.2 seconds. lol

2. Attribute Watcher: This could probably go with debugger, but while you are previewing your application, a box could pop-up and show you what the attributes are doing. So it would show you everything that is happening at that very moment. And you could just change an attribute to true/false while it is running.

3. Short Clips: It would be cool if we could add .mov files into gamesalad for the project.
e.g. for the start of the game you could have a movie playing for an intro of the game.

4. Animated Avatars: Some people disagree with me, and some agree. It would be cool if our Account and Forum Avatars could be animated.

Thats basically it!

I hope someone who works for Gendai Games looks and talks about it...

Cheers, Dragokillz

    5. More Windows!: It would be really helpful if you could have separate windows doing different things. e.g. One window looking at an actor, another looking at a scene, and another one looking at another actor!

not true. i remember reading it when it was posted, but failed to note my agreement (on all but the animated avatars). unfortunately, we don't see stats on who initiated a post, or how many times it was read.

as for your suggestkons, i don't predict you'll get much, if any, response from the Gendai Games folks. they typically don't comment on new features or potential features or when any features might make their way into a release, but you never know.

Debugger... I basically use my score field as a debugger. If I want to see what's going on with a particular attribute, I just have that displayed as text. This technique helped me to better understand attributes, accelerometer and how some elements of my game were working.
