Although Android outsells iOS devices ... as has been stated a few times before ... Android users don't buy as much ... in fact based on this article revenues to iOS are 6 times that of Android (I'm assuming they worked out ad revenue as well). Interesting also about the Chinese market:

Well that helps explain why the iPad downloads of Penguin Glide went through the roof in China. We wet as high as 24 in puzzle games and if I remember right we broke top 100 overall games in China for a brief shot.

I read that the app store revenue was like 2.5 billion and android was 0.35 billion. I have read many articles that claim android revenues are between 1/4 and 1/6 of app stores

Yeah, the localization of apps for the Chinese market more than doubled the sales for Plants vs Zombies.
I'm planning to fully redo the text graphics/VOs within gamesalad for some of my apps in German for the German, Swiss and Austrian marketplace.

What has been the experience from some of you people that have released games internationally on the App store? I know Apple has their own "supported" method for localization, but as far as doing specific language versions, has anyone hit any roadblocks or push-back from Apple?

I have a lot of foreign mates at uni who could help me with this. I think I may opt to do it as well, i've been considering it for 3 months now. Would it be an idea to just release the apps under a new foreign name, or would apple not approve of this. I know so little about this topic <<<<----NOOB
