Static Price

I've been playing with Gamesalad for the past month and I really like the software. I was really willing to go pro because I thought the price was a static price of $499 to own the software with its pro options but when I saw that it was per year my jaw sort of dropped.

Is there any plan to have a version of the Gamesalad software that is a static price or pay once model? It really is what's holding me back at the moment.

probably not because we are uploading to their server all the time.. the price is not the problem, the problem is quality and stability and first-to-market capability.. which... none of... cough..

The thing is you won't ever have to pay an upgrade fee when they release new versions like you might have to with Photoshop or a program like that. So it kind of evens out.

So the reason is because you get free updates? I don't know, I think it'd rather own the program and be able to choose if I need the updated version or not.
