Rocket blast from button

Hi,

I am trying to do a rocket blast from a button actor that controls the power. I also want to control it in the air with the accelerometer. I tried so many things. Can someone help with the logic.

I can get the blast, the accelerometer slows the speed down which is not the point. Any help would be great.

Sessien, I like the way you are combing through old posts to learn from others. It is an important skill to master with these forums. (I'm curious to know how your inquiry into Kenny the Cow plays into your rocket blast!)

I don't thihnk you want to use the accelerometer to control the rocket's velocity. But you can use the accelerometer demo (found in your other post) to learn to control the 'additude' of the rocket.

i want to use the accelerometer to move side to side a rocket that is going up. i can get it to move up yet when I tilt the speed slows all the way down. The other demo was removed.

Kenny the cow was just a demo to learn the "3d" movement...

(I moved your quote from the other thread so that you would have one thread (this thread) about this topic.)

Sorry, but I could not open the file. You will need to compress the .gameproj and make it into a .zip file before you upload it to speedyshare.

I am not sure why tilting would slow down the rocket -- unless the accelerometers are somehow being used to set the rocket's velocity. Please feel free to post the game.zip file and I will take a look.
