Core Audio Format = safe ?

I noticed that Gamesalad happily imports and can use Core Audio Format (.caf) files (and keeps them as .caf files rather than converting them to 'music'/m4a or 'sound'/ogg files).
Is this likely to cause issues when it comes to running the app on iOs/iPhone/iPad . . . . or are .caf files safe to use ?

Probably depends, because .caf files are containers and not an encoding format, which means they could contain different sorts of encoded files, theoretically. So if the .caf file contains an encoded audio format that iOS has no decoder for, it could cause problems, even though CAF is an Apple format. Most .cafs are AIFF or MP3, though, which should be played back without problems.

It's Lisa, the singer (one of two singers actually) from the band 'The Loose Salute' - the image is from a video I made for them, here you go (link below) you can take a close to see if she really does look like your ex . . . !
Apart from uncompressed PCM, it can also contain MPEG type formats.
Full specifications are in the Apple Developer Library:

Sure, they have a couple of albums (or is it three) out.
