How do I remove bogus games in the portfolio view?

You know when you go to publish a game, you pick a game to publish with.. however over time dupilcates have been made for one reason or another and now i'm looking to clean up this view with duplicates and other clutter in that view. I can't figure out where this info could be found.

Thanks!
Caleb

bump, please any insight on this would be helpful.. it just doesn't make sense that there isn't a way to purge stuff..

If I understand you right I think i've had the same issue and would like to know the answer.

Unless you just have duplicate files that just need deleting.

ok here is an example.. the other day when GS was having trouble refreshing the list of games you can choose to publish.. it was taking 10min or so to update. i didn't know this at first so i went ahead and made several "new games" which were just the same info setup.. then once the refresh issue was fixed.. i found myself looking now at 4-5 of the same game that were all created.. i would love to just select and delete them.. but i can't.

When i look under applications folder GS is a standalone executable.. there are no GS folders to peek into that i can see.. maybe something tucked under library or some other place, i don't know..

quick update here. seems that to remove these files.. requires the GS team to do the removal.. i'm surprised its setup like this with no way for us to edit this.. hopefully they eventually allow the users to edit their own lists.

the GS team responded to my request asking me to tell them which ones to remove. I decided it would be too confusing to list off specific profiles (some have the same name) so I asked them to wipe them all out and that i would just recreate them since it's not too tough to do and i only have a few projects right now.

now that they have responded to you @part12studios
perhaps you could make a suggestion that the new build does this delete for all of us and lets us just add the ones we want to our portfolio???

my portfolio has so many multiple versions and trial builds, I would never dare try to do anything but a Create New!

I was actually wondering the same thing this morning. It'd be cool to have one or both scenarios possible...

    1. When you hit "publish", it will automatically select the game file you are currently using in GameSalad

    Or

    2. Let you select which game is "current" to be saved in the preferences, so that you didn't have to sift through unused or outdated games to select your current title.

yea those are good suggestions.. like.. you associate a given portfolio object with a game project.. with an option to bring up that master list optionally if you need to change it..

Also while we're at it.. wouldn't it be nice if we didn't have to hit next next next so much to get to the publish options each time.. like just have a profile associated with a game project from the get go.. /shrug... it seems right now its kinda clunky and needs to be overhauled.. its not like i constantly change youtube links.. or screenshots.. sure it is important to be able to do it, but i don't need to see that every time i want to submit a build.
