3D Effect in Gamesalad?
Dear All,
Ive been trying for quite some time now but can't really achieve it...
I have a spin in my moon and a bit of pseudo 3d... Not quite sure how i could make this better.. Do you guys have any idea

And if im correct you want the moon to not look so flat, thats all in the art nothing really you can do in gs to make it look "3d"
Oh no i don't want it to not look flat... i just want it to kind of have a 3d spinning effect kindle working and integrating with the layers... E.G>> Layers: Particlelayer, BGlayer, ButtonLayer, GraphicLayer, Moonlayer
I would do the texture sphere with the renders that will make it look alot more 3d then have particle effects and whatever comming out of it. Thats just my opinion. I think i have a .obj of a moon i did laying around ill post it for you if i find it and you can render that

Ya I read it but I have Maya so I thought it would be easier doing it Maya....

Ya linux is pretty stable for stuff like that, I'm gonna try blender tomorrow on my 16gb ram mac pro..... I use that for developing and animation.... But I use my MacBook pro partially for movie making and 3d graphics..... And mostly for developing again!

Before I render the globe, can you give me the width you are using it at (in pixels) - and how many frames you want the rotation to be ?

As for frames anything under 40 is probably fine for me.....

Ok, but I would warn people against scaling stuff down in GS, the anti-aliasing / smoothing is not great on stuff that is scaled down, much better to work at your final (GS) size.
