I'm still working on my first game, but I was considering getting the pro version mainly for the android publishing. Is publishing to android simple, or do you have to change your game quite a bit? Also, is the "help" significantly better with the pro version, and is it worth the price? Let me know your thoughts - and if the android publishing makes for significant revenue increase?

Thanks

frankly speaking i have yet to try it out. The instruction that can be found is not easy to understand too.
You will also need to first apply for a one time publishing license from google to allow android apps submission i think.

Publishing to Android isn't very simple, and as far as I know, there are still growing pains on GS's end. I have a pro membership, and no, the support isn't significantly better. The Android question is tricky. First, Android users are less likely to purchase apps, which is evident when comparing total revenue from the App Store and Android Market. So, your best option is to offer free games with IAP or advertising (admob, mobclix, etc). But alas, GS hasn't introduced those yet.

Here's the thing. I know you're new, and still learning the software. Most of us take several months to learn the software well enough to make a game that we aren't later embarrassed about. That, and the appstore is fairly unforgiving, and earning back your GS membership fee in app sales is FAR from a sure thing. I wouldn't go throwing your $500 bucks at GS yet, not until you're certain you're serious about app production and you've decided to go with GS rather than the competition.
